History
NIMAC was founded in Thessaloniki in 1977 by Anestis Nikolaidis. Since then it has specialized in the production of angle grinders and cutting machines. The continuous effort to improve the machines and the reliable service established the company as one of the most important in the field of woodworking machines. In its long history, the NIMAC company stands out for the development of innovative and modern machines. In 1980, he introduced the first two-pass automatic cornering machine. In 1981, the NIMAC factory presented for the first time in Greece the first heavy-duty shredder with a robust holder (photo left), 12mm bench, double absorption and operator protection systems. In 1993, due to the growing demand for quality cutting on kitchen doors, he presented the special post forming cutting system and introduced the POST FORMING 090 shredder to the market, which became the best seller of the Greek market.
Since 1998, the factory has proceeded with the technological upgrade of all machines (photo left) with the use of linear motion systems on the cutting carriage and the guide (movement with linear bearings on special chrome-nickel shafts). With the use of these systems, the machines obtain absolute stability and cutting precision and have minimal maintenance requirements due to their low wear and tear. It also established the use of an automatic lubrication system. Now the automation of all shredders includes modern PLCs and INVERTERS for precise and fast movement of the guide and cutting carriage.
Today all machines are designed with a modern CAD industrial design program by experienced engineers. The company's design department is now responsible for continuous technological improvement. All machines use high quality materials and all electrical parts are TELEMECANIQUE and SIEMENS. They also meet European safety standards (CE, EBETAM control body no. 03/2000). Today the NIMAC factory produces a wide variety of shredders (from simple angle grinders to the most modern shredders with calipers, side guide, touch screen computer, high cutting speed and air tables) which can meet the needs of any furniture factory. Due to the high quality of the machinery, the NIMAC factory is the only Greek factory that can and does export to countries such as Italy and Spain.
In recent years, NIMAC machines have participated in major foreign exhibitions and the company's exports have spread to many countries of the world.
